After having a taste of regular events happening in the second BioWolf world, I've decided to make an adjustment to how frequently events will happen in Vaspilia. Instead of one event every time a new queen is crowned, there will be an event every time the current queen reaches an hour milestone. New queens will still have their reign introduced by an event, but the effects of their event will be doubled. For example, with the 'Infestation' event, usually only one stinger hive would be introduced. But if that event were rolled for a coronation, two stinger hives would be introduced. In addition, the 'Migration' event is now reserved only for new queen events. Having to move metarooms every hour or so would be more trouble than it would be worth! With all that said, when I loaded the world, Altaica was exactly one hour old. So, that means it's time for an event!

Vaspilia: Enter the Heiresses
Hello! This is another post about the Vaspilia world, which hopefully experiences no production issues like the first post did. I hope you enjoy it!

Vaspilia: Random Event Matriarch Run
Okay, unfortunately I somehow managed to completely wipe the first version of this post that I wrote, so this is probably going to be quick and to the point. Seskorix is a fun world, but I really can't spend too long in it at once. So, to celebrate the one year anniversary of Norn Tree, which is today, I'm starting a new matriarch run as an echo to one of the first worlds I documented here. I've made a few modifications to the rules since last time, so hopefully things are more interesting this time around. This time, elements of a random event run will be incorporated! Also, you might have noticed that I've added an about page and a downloads page. Its about time I added those, to be honest.

Matriarch Run: Coronation
Last time on the matriarch run, nothing was happening at all despite there being seven new additions to the population. Now, there's immediate kissing and even a kiss-pop! Nothing happened with that though. But it's a sure sign that a new queen is sure to emerge soon. Sure enough, Blossom Fang becomes pregnant, and so does Rook Leaf. Whoever lays their egg first will be the new queen!

Matriarch Run: Part 4
Whoops, it's been a while. I guess blogging everyday for four days straight is not in fact the best way to keep your focus. Anyway, it's time for another update to the Matriarch run! The new rule for a new queen being chosen is when the current queen has three heiresses, that is when a new one will be chosen. As Asteria has well over three heiresses, her time is up, and it's off to the creatures folder for her. Here are the candidates for the next queen! Unless I missed some during importing, there are seven of them.

Matriarch Run: Part 3
Once again, things started off with everybody in the garden, except this time half the group has moved to the greenhouse.

Matriarch Run: Part 2
Things got off to a bit of a slow start today, with Blossom Fang having just been born. The main population is in a business as usual sort of state, with everyone hanging out in the garden.
The only norn not in this group picture is Ivy Nose, Deer Stream's son, who seems to have inherited his father's tendency to stray from the crowd. He was near the pianola, and that area seems to be a bit buggy so I brought him back. He seemed very keen to rejoin the group, so perhaps he isn't as prone to wander as his father.

Matriarch Run: Part 1
I have lots of worlds that are already somewhat established. One of them is simply named 'Matriarchy', another example of why I shouldn't name worlds. Unsurprisingly, this world is a matriarch run, which could be considered a variant of an alpha run. I'm fairly certain I got the idea from the blog Designer Genes, run by Kezune. There's only one female in the world at all times, who is the mother of all new creatures in the world. When she dies, the first of her female children to lay an egg will replace her. All offspring regardless of gender must pass the IQ test to join the run, and female children are raised in the Norn Meso until they reach the youth stage before being exported so that all female children have an equal chance of becoming the new queen. I had the multiple birth chance set to about 50 or 60 percent, but that seems to be resulting in far too many norns, so I've set it to 1 percent. I don't want there to be no huge litters, but I don't want every single pregnancy resulting in massive population growth. The run is taking place in the C1toDS metaroom.
