Keahiri: Snatched Hope

Last time, the jungle population experienced a major population burst. Both groups now have 8 members, which is pretty good considering that the other time I tried to have a jungle population in an alpha run, I typically had one norn alive there at a time because they kept dying there. This time only one death has happened there so far!

Keahiri: Circle of Life

The main population of Keahiri feels a lot smaller, even though it's technically bigger than it started. Dapple and Soleil left to start a new life in the jungle with their sons, and Dapple has already been infected with Antigen 5; one of the worst ones, in my opinion. She should have an easier time fighting it than any of the children though. Silver linings? I don't know.

Keahiri: The Exiles Begin

Where we left off last, a new alpha was named: Aquila! This means the Flameclaws are currently the bloodline in control, and Aquila is safe from ever being exiled to the jungle. The other girls, Dapple, Panthera, Soleil, and even Aquila's own daughter Columba might not be so lucky as they are all currently subordinate females. Their only way now to continue their legacies is to have daughters of their own. But for now, lets look at how things are going in Keahiri!

Keahiri: Let's Try This Again

Last time, we lost Ujurak before anything could really happen because norns apparently have no sense of self preservation. I've put a stopperplant pot in the pond to stop that from happening again in the future. Also, I've decided to scrap the IQ test idea as it takes up too much time.

Keahiri: Alpha Run

I've decided to give an alpha run a try! I've had alpha worlds before, but they've never made it very far. Hopefully this time will be different! I'm going to be using rules very similar to the ones laid out in the initial concept post on Discover Albia, which are as follows:

Community Jungle Wolfling: Finale

I'm in a Creatures mood and I'm going to ride it as far as it will take me, so here's another update! Fair warning, there's a lot of pictures in this one!

Community Jungle Wolfling: Part 9

It's time for another update! Bacary and Wendy have both accumulated a ridiculous amount of points, but Pyra and Takua aren't too far behind them, so anything could happen!

Community Jungle Wolfling: Part 8

It's time for another look at this world! From now on, I'll likely mostly be going over highlights as it isn't necessary to know about every single illness.

Community Jungle Wolfling: Part 7

Sorry I took so long to get this update up! I've been busy lately. But it's here now, which means we get to see what the jungle norns are up to! None of them have died yet, and the population is already approaching the youth stage, so they're doing a little better than their predecessors. It could be evolution taking place, but I have also added more food so it could be that.

Community Jungle Wolfling: Part 6

Time for another update on the new generation! Sorry it took so long. I ended up replacing all the elevators with elevines because what felt like everyone was stuck in there. Now they are all much more spread out!

Metaroom Preview: Betaship

Hi guys! Today I'm doing something a bit different than the usual tracking of norn lives. I've done a bit of a test run of a metaroom made by Pilla. You might be familiar with the other metaroom she's made, the Other Lone Shee's Ark. I love the OLSA, and I know many others in the CC enjoy it as well. The Betaship is quite similar to the OLSA- it has several different rooms for norns to live in and is very spacious. In fact, the Betaship is extremely big, and has plenty of room for both land-dwelling creatures and aquatic ones! It's about as big as the Biodome, give or take, and comes stocked with food and toys, as well as plants and critters. This is great if you want a big metaroom but don't want to have to set it up with the garden box or other agents.

Community Jungle Wolfling: New Beginnings

Hello everyone! Today the second generation of jungle norns begins, because Pyra died quicker than I thought she would. She made it to an impressive 3 hours, which is great considering the metaroom she was in. Her longevity turned out to be enough to put her just one point behind Bacary, who got ahead thanks to his productivity. I've added some potted eggtrees and transplanted some tubas in an effort to prevent the food running out in the future.

The first norn born is Daisy Leaf, the daughter of Pyra and Bacary! She immediately goes to the top floor, and also immediately gets a bacteria. No toxins yet though, so she's fine for now.
Next was another girl named Silver Face, and is the daughter of Takua and Andromeda. I couldn't immediately tell that she had anything but Astro norn in her, but since Simon never had kids I knew that couldn't be right. After a closer look, I could tell that she definitely had Chichi arms and legs.
Stone Flight is the first male born, and is Cassie's only child. Bacary's his father.
Bird Flight is the son of Bacary and Pyra, while Marigold Fern is the daughter of Wendy and Takua, making her a purebred Chichi norn.
Oat Claw is the daughter of Wendy and Bacary, and immediately started hanging out with her various siblings.
Next was Beech Feather, another Wendy and Takua son.
Beech Feather was quickly followed by Duck Wish, the son of Pyra and Zed, meaning he's a purebred Zebra norn.
Pebble Step and Eel Wish hatched at about the same time, and share a mother: Wendy! Pebble Step's father was Takua and Eel Wish's father was Bacary.
Daisy Leaf and Silver Face caught a histamine/antigen disease before Rye Pelt, a Bacary and Pyra girl, was born. Hopefully they'll be fine.
Dace Fur, the daughter of Bacary and Pyra, immediately goes for an eggfruit. Girl's got her priorities in order!

Last to hatch is Ginger Ear, Andromeda and Zed's son.
There were a lot of norns to go through this time round, so I'll leave it there. Next time we'll see more of their lives! Sorry there wasn't a lot of content this update.

Points:
- Gross Sacrifice the male Fallow Norn (yluklun) - 4 points - Died at 48 minutes
- Zed the male Zebra Norn (Uzag) - 16 points - (2 eggs) - Died at 1 hour, 3 minutes
- Bacary the male Bengal Norn (Floh) - 44 points - (7 eggs) - Died at 1 hour, 35 minutes
- Simon the male Astro Norn (Zzzzoot) - 4 points - Died at 45 minutes
- Takua the male Chichi Norn (Calliope812) - 28 points - (4 eggs) - Died at 1 hour, 20 minutes
- Curly the female Bengal Norn (savannahs11) - 3 points - Died at 30 minutes
- Cassie the female Bruin Norn (Linda) - 9 points - (1 egg) - Died at 44 minutes
- Wendy the female Chichi Norn (Arnout) - 39 points - (5 eggs) - Died at 2 hours, 25 minutes
- Pyra the female Zebra Norn (Pilla) - 43 points - (5 eggs) - Died at 3 hours, 3 minutes
- Andromeda the female Astro Norn (gemverse) - 23 points - (2 eggs) - Died at 2 hours, 17 minutes

13 total eggs

Community Jungle Wolfing: Part 4

This session started with several slap fights between Wendy and Pyra, as well as Andromeda being sick. Pyra managed to shake a bacteria, which promptly passed to Wendy. Andromeda is stuck at the door. Everyone is hungry for starch and hates each other. I think I might add a few potted plants next for the next round, just to avoid the mushrooms running out in the future.

Community Jungle Wolfling: Part 3

It's time for a new update, and the jungle feels emptier than ever after the last update. Out of the ten original norns, only six remain. The gender ratio somehow managed to stay even though, which is always good. Bacary is absolutely loaded with histamine B, and he also has antigen 0 in his system, but there's much less of that. Still, he's always been a fighter, so I believe he'll fight it off. Sure enough, his toxin levels gradually begin to drop. Funnily enough, all the striped norns are hanging out together, and so are all the purple norns! What a way to divide themselves.

Community Jungle Wolfling: Part 2

Last time in this run, a slap pile was formed, Curly died, and Andromeda became a youth. Who knows what could happen this time? Let's find out! As soon as I returned to the world, I was instantly greeted by death noises and slapping. I found that Bacary has the same disease that killed Curly; hopefully he's able to fight it off. He managed to shake the fear toxin with relative ease, and apparently someone's found the knowledge stone, as everyone is currently saying 'nono'.

Community Jungle Wolfling Run: Part 1

Hello everyone! I've decided to mix things up a little bit here by starting a community wolfling run! Because let's face it, there's only so many consecutive matriarch run updates anyone can handle before getting bored. Over on Creatures Caves, ten users submitted ten norns to survive for as long as they can, and produce as many children as they can, in the Jungle Terrarium. I have the bacteria nerf cos file installed, so instant death thanks to ATP decoupler shouldn't happen. After all, guaranteed instant death doesn't prove anything and is more than a little unfair. Any ways out of the jungle have been blocked, as this is confined to the jungle.

Matriarch Run: Coronation

Last time on the matriarch run, nothing was happening at all despite there being seven new additions to the population. Now, there's immediate kissing and even a kiss-pop! Nothing happened with that though. But it's a sure sign that a new queen is sure to emerge soon. Sure enough, Blossom Fang becomes pregnant, and so does Rook Leaf. Whoever lays their egg first will be the new queen!

Matriarch Run: Part 4

Whoops, it's been a while. I guess blogging everyday for four days straight is not in fact the best way to keep your focus. Anyway, it's time for another update to the Matriarch run! The new rule for a new queen being chosen is when the current queen has three heiresses, that is when a new one will be chosen. As Asteria has well over three heiresses, her time is up, and it's off to the creatures folder for her. Here are the candidates for the next queen! Unless I missed some during importing, there are seven of them.

Matriarch Run: Part 3

Once again, things started off with everybody in the garden, except this time half the group has moved to the greenhouse.

Matriarch Run: Part 2

Things got off to a bit of a slow start today, with Blossom Fang having just been born. The main population is in a business as usual sort of state, with everyone hanging out in the garden.
The only norn not in this group picture is Ivy Nose, Deer Stream's son, who seems to have inherited his father's tendency to stray from the crowd. He was near the pianola, and that area seems to be a bit buggy so I brought him back. He seemed very keen to rejoin the group, so perhaps he isn't as prone to wander as his father.

Matriarch Run: Part 1

I have lots of worlds that are already somewhat established. One of them is simply named 'Matriarchy', another example of why I shouldn't name worlds. Unsurprisingly, this world is a matriarch run, which could be considered a variant of an alpha run. I'm fairly certain I got the idea from the blog Designer Genes, run by Kezune. There's only one female in the world at all times, who is the mother of all new creatures in the world. When she dies, the first of her female children to lay an egg will replace her. All offspring regardless of gender must pass the IQ test to join the run, and female children are raised in the Norn Meso until they reach the youth stage before being exported so that all female children have an equal chance of becoming the new queen. I had the multiple birth chance set to about 50 or 60 percent, but that seems to be resulting in far too many norns, so I've set it to 1 percent. I don't want there to be no huge litters, but I don't want every single pregnancy resulting in massive population growth. The run is taking place in the C1toDS metaroom.

Saturday, 23 September 2017

Hi there!

Hey guys! I'm Fuzzlet, and I'm new to the Creatures Community, but not the games themselves. I haven't been playing them for as long as some other people, having only heard of the series either this year or last year (I'm not great with remembering things like that), but I do know what I'm doing! Most of the time, anyway. I mostly play Creatures 3/Docking Station because I can't seem to get Creatures 2 to run decently on my computer or the norns in Creatures 1 to eat. C3DS also just fits my purposes better, it seems.
